ISA ACTIVITY - Ancient Monuments of Delhi(International Treasures)

As a part of the ISA Project under the aegis of the British Council,RPS International School Sec-89 conducted an activity-“International Treasures” for classes III - V. on Thursday, October 10 2019. The students visited the epitome of rich cultural heritage of India 'Red Fort'. They were left spellbound to see the gigantic structures that can be described as some of the finest examples of architectural skills of Indian crafts men.The excavation site in Fort showed some direct proof of past era. The students were told that on Independence Day, the Prime Minister hoisted the national flag at the main gate of the fort every year and delivered a nationally- broadcasted speech from its ramparts. It proved to be a golden opportunity for the students to learn about their rich heritage. They had a wonderful experience exploring the Fort. Inter Class Quiz Competition(ISA ACTIVITY)

An Inter class Quiz Competition was organized for the students of class III as a part of the ISA Activity under the project titled “Global Cultures(Festivals and Costumes) ” .The quiz was based on the research work done by the students for the countries India, UK and UAE . The quiz commenced with the introduction of the contestants from each team representing their respective class. The quiz master for the day briefed the students with the rules of the competition. A wide range of questions were posed to which the participants replied confidently. The quiz aimed at enriching the students about the historical background of the National Symbols of the different countries.

Global Cultures(Festivals and Costumes) -ISA ACTIVITY

Festivals since the yore played a significant role in reflecting different cultures and civilizations and their ethos. The entire world is a macro pluralistic society and the diversity is unimaginable. The school got the project titled “Global Cultures(Festivals and Costumes) ” approved by British Council’s International School Award’s (ISA) team in order to throw open the gateways of real diversity in the world through myriad cultures. Poster Making activity was conducted with the objective of making our children explore and gather information about festivals like Eid, Christmas, Diwali, Onam, Durga Pooja. They created inspiring artwork and tradition of the countries- 'India, UK, UAE'. The pivotal aim of the activity was to promote global harmony. Principal,Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla emphasized on the importance of all festivals which connect us to our roots and provide happiness, pleasure and enthusiasm.
