Cuisines Across the Globe-ISA Activity

The times have changed and we no longer stay confined within the four walls of our thinking and reckoning. In an effort to give our students an international exposure and make them aware of the diverse culture that is prevalent outside the border of their own country we undertook the project "Cuisines Across the Globe”. Under this project, we planned an intriguing activity involving parents. We have shared recipes of 6 different dishes of India,Thailand & Italy with them. They put their best efforts to get the perfect taste of the dishes and sent the dishes for primary tasting. Later,We organised cookery competition on Thursday, May 16 2019 where the mothers from different walks of life showcased their talent with their delicious dishes which they prepared at the school campus. Various cuisines both national and international were put on display that enabled everyone attached to this programme to learn about the diversity that adorns the Culinary World. The cooperation of the parents are undeniable. “Food has become important in our lives. Cooking skills of Indians are unique and complement their stories and experiences. Best way to appreciate their talent is to showcase their adventure in every dish and task which were assigned to them,” said School Principal,Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla. #Who won? As a part of the ISA Project under the aegis of the British Council,RPS International School Sec-89 conducted an activity-“International Treasures” for classes III - V. on Thursday, October 10 2019. The students visited the epitome of rich cultural heritage of India 'Red Fort'. They were left spellbound to see the gigantic structures that can be described as some of the finest examples of architectural skills of Indian crafts men.The excavation site in Fort showed some direct proof of past era. The students were told that on Independence Day, the Prime Minister hoisted the national flag at the main gate of the fort every year and delivered a nationally- broadcasted speech from its ramparts. Dance Forms - ISA COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITY (Lets take you to Spain)

The global citizens of RPS International School sec-89, presented a cultural fiesta in the school premises. The occasion was the ISA collaborative activity 'Dance Forms'. The activity was collaborated with Start Rite School Abuja,Nigeria. A brilliant Folk dance-Flamenco was put forward by the students of classes VI - VIII which portrayed the tradition, culture, and lifestyle of the people of Spain. The complete  activity was actually a learning experience for them. It encourages and bolsters us to showcase our young talent to new audiences and to give platform to those unheard. Through this collaborative enterprise students will learn new dance forms, build the acceptance of diversity of the world, feeling of oneness and sense of respect towards social and culture milieu.
